- Consignment is accepted by appointment only; appointments are scheduled Monday through Friday during the hours of 10 am and 4 pm. We start accepting merchandise for the Spring / Summer season in mid January and for the Fall / Winter season in mid July.
- At your appointment, we will carefully inspect your items. Please do not be offended if we decline some items. Our decisions are made not only on the quality of the items, but also on our knowledge of what sells in our store. A minimum of 10 items must be accepted for consignment for that given season. The only exceptions are designer handbags and designer jewelry, which may be dropped off without an appointment.
- Sales Periods: Consignment period is for 120 days. Items will go through periodic standard markdowns at the sole discretion of Designer Finds.
- Initial Pricing: Designer Finds will set the price based on items original price, as well as, the desirability and condition of the merchandise. Designer Finds makes their best effort to merchandise, sell and care for all consignments.
- ALL consigned items MUST remain in our store inventory for the duration of the consignment period and may NOT be posted for sale on any other web site, such as, ebay, Mercari, Poshmark, during the sales period.
The criteria for accepting items are:
- In current season; Spring / Summer ; Fall / Winter. Current styling; must be purchased within the past two years.
- ALL ITEMS must be spotlessly clean, wrinkle-free and on hangers, and in ready to sell condition.
- Anything that makes an item unsaleable, such as, clothing with stains, moth holes, pet hair, odors (smoke,mothball, perfume), loose buttons, difficult zippers, or missing belt, will not be accepted.
- Handbags; no inside odor, lining must be clean and show no outside wear.
- Shoes; polished and minimal wear, current styles.
- Jewelry may be dropped off at any time if you have already consigned for the current season.
